Cancellation Policy

Full refunds are given with a 48 hour (2 day) notice of cancellation prior to the departure date.
Less than 48 hour notice (including weather-related) will receive a 25% refund OR you can reschedule at no extra charge. No-shows are non-refundable.
Trip protection is available for purchase at booking, allowing cancellation up to 8:30 a.m. on the departure day for a full refund less the trip protection.
Trip protection can be purchased up to 48 hours before the rental period begins.
We highly recommend trip protection.
Insurance & Waivers
OPTION #1: DAMAGE WAIVER
provided by Dolphin Cove Marina
The renter is responsible for any damage to the rented boat during rental period. The damage waiver covers the first $1,000 in damages to the rented vessel caused by the renter. The renter is still responsible for any damage over $1,000.

OPTION #2: UNGROUNDING COVERAGE
provided by Dolphin Cove Marina
Ungrounding fees can range from $500 to $1500 depending on location & hours. Ungrounding examples may include being stuck on a sand bar or stuck on a beach due to shifting tides. Ungrounding Coverage waives the fee as long as the renter is not out past dusk, does not violate marina rules, and is not negligent.

OPTION #3: RENTERS INSURANCE
provided by Buoy Insurance Company
Renters insurance can be purchased upon check-in. The renter will be offered Renter's Insurance through Buoy upon check-in per Florida's law SB606.
Insurance is highly recommended.

What Should I Know Before My Boat Rental?
Do Your Boats Have GPS or Navigational Map/Charts?
YES, all of our boats have Garmin GPS and handmade charts.

What Time Do I Arrive For My Boat Rental?
It takes about 20 minutes to complete safety orientation, chart class, & boat review. If you paid for the full day, you may arrive after 8:30 a.m.; we will hold your boat. Must still return at 4:30 p.m.
If you paid for a Full-Day you do NOT have to arrive at 8:30 am.
How Do I Pay For Fuel?
The boat leaves full.
Upon return, we will top off the gas.
You are responsible for whatever is used and will be charged on your card at return.
Do Your Boats Have Depth Finders?
No, our boats purposefully do not have depth finders. Our experience has found that depth finders give renters a false sense of safety. Our depths go from deep to shallow in a hot second. Staying on our lined route & between the channel markers is your best depth finder to keep you off the sand bars and to avoid a tow. Tip - Use Navigation charts first, boat GPS second, and your phone GPS if you get turned around.
Can I Pull a Tube or Ski Behind Your Boats?
No, boating in the Gulf is not like boating in a lake. It is too dangerous to ski or tube. No tubing or skiing is allowed at any rental company.
What should we bring?
We have coolers and ice available for rent, and you are also welcome to bring your own. We recommend bringing sunscreen, snacks, towels, garbage bags, noodles and drinks. Well behaved dogs are allowed, please keep off seats
What shouldn't we bring?
Do not bring grills, charcoal, skis, tubes, or misbehaving dogs that will damage the boat. No illegal substances. No sunscreen/tanning lotion on seats please.
Do You Allow Dogs on The Boats?
Well behaved dogs are allowed. Please keep them off seats, & if they need to be on the seat please put a towel down first.

Can I use my boater safety card from a different state?
If your boater safety card has the logo NASBLA on it or says it is approved by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE BOATING LAW ADMINISTRATORS, it may be used in Florida.
